Description: PACKET OF 12 CZECH POSTCARDS #2 - 1970: STRAHOV LIBRARY (Strahovska knihovna) Packet of 12 Postcards with explanatory booklet enclosed in a tri-fold envelope. Each postcard has a picture of a room, tapestry, mural, or book exhibit in the Strahov Library at the Monument of National Literature in the city of Prague. The explanatory booklet includes a brief history of the library and background of the picture for each postcard in 5 languages including Czech, English, German & French. (The 2nd language, unknown, is written in Cyrillic – possibly Bulgarian or Serbian.) The packet was purchased in Prague (then the “combined” country of Czechoslovakia) in June of 1970 and immediately went into storage, not unpacked until the summer of 2024. The postcards are in LIKE NEW condition. The envelope, otherwise Excellent, has a little wear at the tops and/or bottoms of the folds. The pictures (glossy) are as bright and colorful as the day they were purchased. Each picture is identified in all five languages on the back side. Condition: LIKE NEW.
