The creation of batiks is an ancient art that has been passed down through generations of artisans. Banyan Batiks are handmade by the local artisans of Indonesia who take pride in their culture and leading expertise in batiks. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold water, delicate dry cycle, use cool iron. Made in Indonesia. The kit contains a purchased copy of the Cottage Sampler pattern/instructions by Patti Carey of Patti's Patchwork along with enough batik fabrics to complete the throw quilt shown in picture 1. This kit contains all fabrics required for top and edge binding. BACKING AND BATTING WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. The overall finished size of this quilt is 55" x 70". Pictures 2 thru 10 show the fabrics included in this kit. There are no substituted fabrics! Skill Level: Intermediate The pattern recommends 3-1/2 yards of backing fabric assuming a standard 44" width along with a 63" x 78" piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.
