Description: Hand forged Wharnecliffe Blade 1084 High Carbon Steel Full Tang Hand Made Hand forged Wharnecliffe knife made of 1084 High Carbon Steel. 3.5” blade length, 8” overall length. Blade has been polished to a light mirror finish. The blade width at the widest point is 1-3/8”. The thickness of the blade is approximately 1/8” along the just fore of the handle.The multi-piece full tang handle is made of Richlite synthetic material in Deep Blue color and Walnut wood. Aluminum 1/4" pins are added to reinforce the handle/tang connection. Overall handle length is 4-1/4”. Also included is a handmade leather sheath, with belt loop, dyed to a light tan color. Hand forged in Colorado, USA from known 1084 steel. The blade was quenched in Parks 50 Oil, and then tempered at 400F for 2 x 2-hour cycles for a sharp, durable blade. The blade has a nice low mirror polish.This knife is an original piece and has the maker's mark "rDr" punched onto the blade and the leather sheath. Being this is a hand forged/handmade item, there may be some small scratches, forge marks, or slight markings on the handle/blade/guard. This is what makes it handmade, not machine made with no soul.
