It is from a short run of Uncirculated Fr. 123 notes that have five-digit serial numbers. This piece has had two owners since 1990. Its most recent auction appearance since then was when we auctioned it as a raw Gem New in April 2008, and it has been held by our consignor ever since that time. PMG agrees with our original assessment and more, as this $10 Legal has earned a grade of 66 EPQ. Furthermore, PMG has graded 386 examples of this Friedberg number with only four pieces earning a higher grade than our lovely current offering. All four of those notes were graded only a single grade point higher. The last example that we auctioned at this third party grade was a PCGS 66PPQ that realized $22,800 in October 2022. With a strengthening market, one must be prepared for this perennial popular note, especially in high grade, to surpass that figure. *PLEASE BE AWARE THESE BANKNOTES ARE REPRODUCTIONS* Reproduction of a High value note.
