It is in absolutely pristine, mint condition and has to be one of the most well-preserved specimens of its time (or any time for that matter). This rich dark brown hat has ridden out the last 45 years in its hat box and was stored in a cedar-lined closet. The leather sweatband is perfection and has been properly conditioned periodically over the years. The liner shows no wear and the hat body itself has zero insect/moth damage, nor any other visible imperfections. And this ain't today's "x" factor. This thing looks/feels like an upper tier hat by today's standards. It was pro-shaped into the old RCA crease that was popular at the time (completely and totally symmetrical) and is bone stock, complete with original Resistol hat pin. If you're a hat collector or you simply enjoy cool, old school quality cowboy hats.....Well, here ya' go. I doubt you'll find another one quite like this. F.Y.I.
