The film was dedicated to the actual problem of those years the doctors "escape from the republic". The film was dubbed at the Gorky Film Studio in 1962. Please Note: The poster was issued in USSR in a highly limited edition - only 15.000 exemplars - so it's really hard to find and very collectable Soviet vintage film poster. A hospital in a GDR industrial city. Head physician Heger and his young senior physician Brehm have been friends for many years. Suddenly Brehm receives anonymous threats intended to drive him to flee the republic. During the war he became complicit in the death of Heger's son, who refused the Nazi war and was shot. Brehm Heger, courteous to the blackmailers, confesses the truth and hopes for forgiveness. But Heger rejects him indignantly. Brehm flees to West Germany. Heger recognized his misconduct, got into internal conflicts and finally left the GDR.
