Description: Good Condition. I can see a tiny mark to the left of the leaf cluster that appears to be a breach in the glaze. When that happens, dirt can get in there. I personally would not use this for anything but dry food, if that. At its age of 116+, this platter is a decorative cabinet piece to brag about owning! I will send the plate stand along with this platter too! There are no cracks or crazing. There are two areas on the inner rim where there is a scuff. I will take thorough pictures for you. I can see light colorless scratches when tilted in the light, very few of these though. There is a tiny flea bite chip on the outside rim. You have to feel for it. There is a pottery flaw on the tiny green leaves in the middle that are separate from the rose cluster. It has the design over it and is glazed over. There are a couple of other glaze flaws like it next to this leaf cluster. It looks like glaze bubbles popped during firing. The designs are intact and the colors are strong. The gold accents are intact. Smooth glossy finish! The makers mark on the back says "Haviland Limoges France Manufactured in Limoges France Theodore Haviland". This mark was used from 1883 to 1907, so this platter is anywhere from 116 to 140 years old! Amazing! Especially in this condition! This platter measures 16 inches or 40.64 cm from long end to long end. It measures 11 1/2 inches or 29.21 cm from short side to short side. It measures 2 1/4 inches or 5.715 cm deep. This beautiful weighty platter is large! Limoges was highly favored by the rich in the Gilded Age and this likely came from a large set of some wealthy person because this piece of Peace Rose is super rare! The pictures in this listing are my own pictures and that is the actual item you will get. I don't steal other people's pictures or use stock photos. I store my items in sealed bins with charcoal to eliminate odors. We do combine shipping for multiple orders! Please let us know if you are selecting multiple listings! We don't do partial refunds. If the item is not 100% satisfactory to you, return it for a refund. Partial refunds are a common scamming technique on eBay so sellers are advised not to give them. We also do videos documenting our packaging the items as that provides the post office proof we shipped the items. They require proof for mail fraud when people switch out the item and send back something else, stuff like that. We also don't do second chance offers so if you get one on one of our items, it is not from us! We don't want anyone to get scammed!
