They did this with many of the in used WW2 stock to modify them into a pattern People based in Alaska had these in the 1950s and they were dyed to make them useful in temperate zones with no snow as well. manufactured in the United States. It is a great addition to any collection of original period items and militaria from the WW2 and Korean War.This coat seems to be in almost new condition. 2 buttons are broken.
