Description: Very Fine Large Korean Joseon Dynasty Buddha Portrait on Jangji (Special paper made from rice mulberry paper) and Hand Painted using Natural Pigment framed in gold tone frame. On the upper left corner part of the painting is sticking out or not completely glued to the frame (see photos with green arrow pointing to an area). Painter is unknown and most likely painted by an anonymous artist. Korean MinHwa or folk paintings were often painted by an anonymous artist. Painting is framed and was most likely detached from an original scroll at some point due to poor condition of scroll. The frame is not that old. Item is in good condition overall with an expected wear, creases, staining, water stain, folds, smudge, rip and tear. Please see photos. Frame is pretty beat up since we stored most of our paintings and prints in warehouse since 1997. Please review all the photos.
