Description: This is a 1930's-1940's award badge for six years of safe driving for the New York City Department of Sanitation, the badge is a lapel size and shows the NY city seal in the center. There is a single screw post on the back also original and in great condition. These were made in the 1930's-1940's by the Johnson-National Insignia Co. INC located in New York City. The Johnson National Insignia Company closed its doors in 1950, this pin is still on the original Johnson Insignia Co backing card making it even more rare! Its hard to tell if it has ever been used, it looks brand new but I listed it as used just in case.
