Description: This is a Christmas present I received in 1957. I remember the doll that came with it, but no longer have it. 2 3/4" tall Teddy Bear is blue flocked, moveable limbs, with the original ribbon around the neck. Has age discoloration, black eyes and nose still look great. The original plastic case is 4 1/2" X 3 1/2" X 2". There are scuffs inside and out, but no cracks and it still latches securely. I find it interesting that it says JAPAN on the back, but if you look very closely on the floor near the hinged side, it says MADE IN USA -1- U.S. Patent 2,570,341. Perhaps it was the doll that was made in Japan. These have been in smoke free home storage for a VERY long time. If you have the doll, this would complete your set! Please check my other listings.
