Vintage 50s Slate Gray Taffeta Gown, 1950s Full Skirt Evening Gown

Description: This is a striking one-of-a kind 1950s piece. There are so many unique details on this dress that catch the eye from the artfully gathered neckline to the full drop waist skirt and matching fabric buttons. The 3/4 sleeves are cuffed with small bows, and the skirt is lined with tulle for a fuller look. The top portion of the dress is made from a textured fabric that gives it subtle depth, and the skirt is a crisp taffeta with a beautiful sheen. There is a pinhole in the front side waist, a bit of fraying along the skirt seam in the back, and a smattering of small pinholes along the back of the skirt. All of these imperfections (all pictured above) blend fairly well into the texture and folds of the dress and are not immediately obvious. There is one button missing at the top section of the waist, but the spacing actually looks quite natural since there is a seam separating the top and bottom sections of the waist.
