Description: Vintage 70s Madame Alexander 17" Leslie Ballerina #1645 (1970) Rare AAAfrican American doll has dark brown hair and brown sleep eyes. Polly face sculpt, part of the Elise Ballerina line. Hair secured with pink bow in back and is adorned with a floral crown. Black velvet choker. Pink tutu has a ruffle of tulle around the neckline and a corsage of flowers on the right shoulder. The tutu bodice is pink satin; the skirt is pleated pink tulle that has become discolored over the years. It appears more of a purplish color from dust accumulations. Skirt has various rhinestones and flower accents. She has holes in her ears for earrings, but no earrings. Wears panty hose and pink ballet slippers. Very good, preloved condition. My mother was not her original owner, but purchased her at a doll show in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in 2003. She is in wonderful, vintage condition--check out her hair! I have tried to show areas where there may be some discoloration of clothes and limbs. Comes complete with tag and original box.It's time to downsize! All items come from either my mother's extensive doll collection, my own, or that of my sister and good friend. All of the items have been stored carefully in a climate-controlled, non-smoking, pet-friendly home. There may be signs of wear on boxes from storage.
