Vintage 80s Pinarello Montello 55 Road Frameset White Chrome

Description: Vintage 80s Pinarello Montello 55 Road Frameset White Chrome Here is a older Pinarello Montello road frameset in the 55cm frame size. Frame and fork have matching serial numbers which verifies that they were original to each other. Has chromed seatstays / chainstays and Campagnolo dropouts, and beautiful lugs with Pinarello pantographing on seat tube and bottom bracket lug and intricate cutatways on bottom bracket shell. Top tube has internal cable routing—there is a piece of vinyl-coated copper wire looped through the frame to aid in cable installation. Prior to my purchase of the frameset, it was repainted from its original Spumoni multi-color to white, and new decals were applied. The repaint is in good condition however there is a small amount of original paint visible in the seat clamp area and on the fork steerer. The Columbus tubing sticker on the seat tube pre-dates the SL/SLX designation, instead saying ‘Acciaio Speciale. I think the tubing is Columbus SL, as I cannot feel any spiral ridges in the inner surface of the seat tube above the bottom bracket shell to indicate SLX tubing. There are some light paint chips and minor decal wear shown in photos—the frame has no dents or structural damage. Missing seat binder bolt, dropout adjustment screw, bottle cage bolts and cable ferrules.
