Description: One (1) vintage Indian Bidriware betel nut box (pandan) in the shape of a mango. Blackened alloy of zinc, copper, tin and lead decorated with inlaid silver leaves. Slides open with a pin on top. From Bidar, India. 1960's-1980's. Good condition- minor wear. One small piece of silver inlay missing (see picture #11). Measures 4 1/2 inches long, 2 3/8 inches at widest point and 3/4 inches thick. See my betel nut boxes as well as other antique Indian pieces and Asian antiques.
