Description: Vintage Lipper & Mann Creations Boy & Lamb ceramic figurine Matte Made In Japan Here is a little history on this Company and this piece:Lipper & Mann (Now called Lipper International) began in 1946 selling fine pieces to department stores. In 1949, they began to import figurines and serving pieces from Japan that they felt were high quality and sold them as well. As the years went on, they added and deleted the types of items that they carry. Currently, they carry high end wooden kitchen ware and collectibles. This piece is shown on several sites including eBay as a Japan collectible. Some say that they are Lipper & Mann and some only say Japan. However, this piece looks considerably older than the pieces that I have seen. The figurine has a small chip under the hat and a few flea bites. Look at figurine closely before purchasing. This figurine is being sold as is. I think that the little guy is just too adorable to go to a landfill.
