THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Unknown Maker c.1960's - 1970's Model: 7 Jewel 3 Hole Mount Description: This is a NOS unused platform escapement that has 7 jewels and a 3 hole mounting base. The 2 holes on the long side of the base are threaded to accept screws so, they probably were designed as a 2 screw mount but included the 3rd for custom applications. These have a regulator arm that is approximately 36mm from the rounded front(not including the stud mount)to the opposite end where there is a round bar coming down. The escape wheel has 15 teeth with an 8 leaf pinion gear. There is approximately 2.5mm of clearance between the platform and the teeth of the escape wheel for your drive gear to mesh up with the pinion gear of the escapement. This is the last box of escapements I have from the estate these came from. The watchmaker/clockmaker was a master in the trade and I believe was an authorized service center for Schatz, Mauthe, Jaunch, Howard Miller and other modern clock producers from the 60's thru 80's. Measurements: 36.32mm L x 24.35mm W x 11.55mm H with 3 hole mount- end to end holes 28.5mm apart on center(these are threaded holes to accept a screw), side to side holes 17.3mm apart on center and diagnally the holes are 33.8mm apart on centerMeasurements: Platform has 7 jewels and 3 mounting holes. They measure 36.35mm x 24.35mm with mounting holes measuring 29mm x 18mm(34mm diagonal measurement) on center. The regulator shaft is measured from the back of the brass ring(surrounding the upper balance jewel)to the end of the shaft and is 35.4mm long. The escape wheel has 15 teeth and an 8 leaf pinion with approximately 2.5mm of clearance between the platform base and the teeth of the escapewheel.
