Description: This is a vintage, rare 1981 Greco Les Paul Deluxe copy with mini humbuckers. This guitar was made during the famed Super Real period and is incredibly accurate. The guitar is 100% original, except the knobs which were replaced with period correct top hat knobs. The mini humbuckers on this guitar are fantastic, with a bright powerful bridge pickup and a neck pickup which almost sounds like a clear, full-bodied Strat pickup. The guitar has period-correct fret edge binding. The neck is a full C-shape with period correct volute and oversized headstock. The guitar is set up with new 9 - 42 strings, has low action and bends like butter. I have played real Gibson Les Paul Deluxe's and this frankly is a much better guitar than the real deal. One of the big improvements that Greco made to the Deluxe design during the Super Real period is the elimination of the pancake body. As a result this guitar is light and very resonant. There a couple of cosmetic issues. At some point, a hole was drilled on the back of the neck heel for a strap button. The neck is completely stable, so no issues other than an excess hole. Also there are some small dings and scratches along the back of the neck, side of the body, and back of the headstock. Nothing structural, just cosmetic. If you're looking for a vintage Les Paul Deluxe that plays like butter and sounds like Rock N Roll, this is an awesome guitar. Comes with hardshell case that is is like-new condition.
