VINTAGE Solvil et Titus Men’s Diver Watch ref. 8032 Automatic

Description: You’re looking at a gorgeous looking 40 mm men’s diver watch from probably 60’s -70’s era. Movement is signed by Solvil et Titus made in Switzerland. This watch was made before the company was sold to a Hong Kong company. The reference of the movement is 8032-68. Some say that’s ETA 8032 movement but I’m not positive on that. The watch runs and keep good time. Bezel turns unidirectional. Crown screws down like most modern dive watches. However, please don’t expect the watch to be water resistant even though the dial says up to 100 meters due to the age of the watch. As you can see in the pictures, some of the luminous paint has come off from the markings. New leather is put on for the watch with a wooden box. ******PLEASE READ***** I had to stop the listing around two weeks ago as I realized the watch has stopped after sitting on my desk for less than a day of not wearing it. I'm not a professional watchmaker so I do not know what is wrong with the watch. My guess is a small piece of the luminous paint that came off from the markings has made its way to the movement thru the day/date window. The balance wheel is spinning freely and so is the rotor. It didn't run again even after shaking it or manually wind the crown. After turning the crown in both direction few rounds, it started running again out of the blue. It has done that twice in last 8 days but has been running for 2 days straight now. When it's running, it's less than 1 min off in 48 hrs. Therefore, I have knocked off $200 of the original price and sell it AS-IS. No returns. I don’t ship internationally. Thanks for looking.
