The factory operated in the German Democratic Republic based on the assets and employees of the nationalized Porzellanmanufaktur Wagner & Apel. The plant was part of the VEB Vereinigte Zierporzellanwerke Lichte. In 1972 it was transferred to the structures of VEB Porzellanfiguren Gräfenthal. The factory mass-produced porcelain figurines. In 1990 it was privatized and since then it has been operating as Wagner & Apel GmbH ref 62
