Description: VTG 1933 World's Fair Motif Art Deco Chrome & Black Encircled Saturn Lamp RESTORED This extraordinary Saturn lamp dates to the mid 1930’s and was associated with the 1933/34 "Century of Progress" World’s Fair in Chicago*. Here the fair’s Saturn motif is accentuated by a ring and is complimented by strong machine age design of contrasting chrome and black finish. This lamp has been restored and refurbished and is ready for contemporary use. The lamp has been completely disassembled and all chrome parts cleaned and polished. All external metal components have been professionally refinished with contrasting triple plate chrome and gloss black powder coat finish. The original fatboy push switched socket has been retained and bulb contacts have been cleaned and polished. All wiring has been refurbished with reproduction fabric covered cord and appointed with vintage style plug. This lamp utilizes one standard US medium base light bulb (not included). *It is unknown whether this lamp was an “official" World’s Fair product, however it is certainly of that period and genre. IMPORTANT: ABOUT THE SHADE: The black fabric shade shown in the photos is NOT included.
