Description: This is a vintage 1972 Simplicity 5047 Men's Size 42 Vest and Set of Shirts pattern. The top-stitched shirt with back yoke and forward shoulder seams has front button closing, set-in sleeves and patch pocket. View 1 with shaped lower edge and shirt type collar with neck band all in one. Views 1 & 2 have long sleeves pleated to buttoned cuffs. Views 2 & 3 with slits in side seams have shirt collar without neck band. View 3 has short sleeves. The lined vest with front button closing and welt pockets has back and back belt cut of lining fabric. Suggested fabrics are shirts in broadcloth, seersucker, lawn, leno, challis, gingham, denim, crepe, jersey, wool flannel, polyester knit, double knit lightweight wool, homespun. Vent front in velvet, velveteen, corduroy, suede cloth, poplin, homespun, lightweight wool, wool flannel, gabardine, houndstooth, tweed, double knit, polyester knit. All our cut sewing patterns have been inspected for completeness and for damage or alterations. Please note, though, that patterns are sold “as is” and may be wrinkled and/or have notches cut off.
