Description: Offered is this vintage music box figurine of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus, made by Berman and Anderson in Japan. When the base is wound up, the piece plays "Ave Maria" and the figurine turns. I'm not sure if the figurine is wood or hard plastic. I'm also not sure just when this was made but would guess the 1970s. This may be a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another B&A music box figurine like this for sale on eBay. The piece is approx. 9 1/2" high. It is in very good condition. I see no damage to the figurine itself, although there are some dark areas along the folds of the dress that may be discoloration but have maybe always been there. The base winds properly, the song plays fine and the figurine turns well. There is a very small rattling noise heard when the piece is turned over, like there's a small item loose inside but it doesn't affect the music or the turning motion.
