Description: Vintage BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWEAR Studio Art Pottery Tankard Pitcher LARGE HEART 9.5" high, 6.7" wide spout to handle, 18.5" circumference around at widest point [center], opening at top 4.5", round base 4.5"Very elegant pitcher handmade with incredible skill and Artistry. Wheel thrown, circular rings slightly visible. Absolutely gorgeous glaze which is hand applied with a sponged top and bottom border, with a large heart on each side. Very collectible. One of a kind. Handle has a shallow groove down the center for an easy gripGlazed inside, this piece is water-tight and can be used for fresh flowers, etc. There is an impressed maker's mark under the handle but I am not seeing a name within. Glaze colors are cobalt blue on a creamy [warm] white Excellent condition, some light crazing through glaze normal for age, not darkened. No chips nicks cracks scratches repairs or damage. Pristine.
