Description: Presentation Uchiwa Fan For Takashimaya’s Special Customers: Japanese Marsh Bird　 This huge Uchiwa fan is made of Washi rice paper with 100 bamboo struts and has a wooden handle. It includes a display holder with tassels. The obverse is a painging of a marsh bird by renown painter Yoshimichi Fujimoto and the reverse is plain white with Takashimaya’s logo. These fans were comissioned annually by Kyoto’s department store chain and given to "Otokui-Sama” special customers. This one is from 1988. See photos for details.
