Description: Vintage 925 Sterling Silver Malachite Inlay Hummingbird Brooch Taxco Mexico. The brooch is a little over 2" from top to bottom and a little over 1.5" from left to right. The brooch has varied shade of green througout and a reddish colored eye . The malachite inlay is framed / outlined and supported by the Sterling Silver. The pin assembly is in good working order. This brooch is not easy to find, as it is vintage. There are other Taxco hummingbird brooches that are made of abolone and have the same frame and style, that are more widely available. We personally think the Malachite better matches the color of the hummingbird and this is a very special brooch! This would be a great holiday or occassional gift for the hummingbird lover or for someone that really likes malachite! It is a wonderful brooch!
