Description: This lot is for two documents belonging to the same refugee. The first is an original 1946 Identity Card / Passport for Foreigners and Stateless Persons. It is in 4 different languages and was issued by Austria to a refugee who made it to England. On the back is a stamped notice from the "B.V.W. Holding Hostel / Weston Colville Camps" saying in English that the person is "permitted to land on condition that the holder registers with the Police, enters such employment as may be specified..." and more. It is about 4" x 5.5" folded. This lot also includes a Work Identity Card for the same person. It is in Austrian / German. There are many official stamps and markings. It is also about 4" x 5.5". Fair condition with wear as shown. Neither document is brittle. A rare piece of history worthy of more research and an awesome addition to any collection. I ship every day the post office is open with your item safely packed the way it deserves to be. I always combine shipping and will refund back any overage when you buy multiple items. Please see the Fighting Fascism in WWII; and Tech History sections and the rest of my store for more museum quality artifacts.
